News Partnership Manager (Korean, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Korean fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of News partners’ business or comparable experience in another industry and a keen interest in News.
  • Knowledge of multi-dimensional agreement architecture.
  • Ability to establish close working relationships with key leaders and strategic partners both internally and externally.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills.

You build relationships that solve users’ needs, advance our partners’ goals, and further Google’s mission. You will provide meaningful solutions — from helping news organizations grow and transform their business and find new audiences, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value.

Our team provides meaningful solutions — from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value. We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the news partnership strategy leveraging existing resources with the objective to address Google’s opportunities and challenges with the news organizations in Korea from a business, reputational and compliance perspective.
  • Identify and prioritize partner targets, an expert on each target’s organization, business model and strategic priorities. Serve asa liaison with the partners regarding new product and feature launches and distribution opportunities.
  • Maintain effective relationships with publishers and identify new opportunities to grow their audience and business through Google platforms and solutions.
  • Represent the Priority Partner Program and act as cross Google Partner Manager and collaborate across different Google teams to drive a partner-and industry-centric approachthat elevates relationships to the executive level for strategic News partners in Korea.
  • Propose strategies and provide insights on Google’s industry programs like the Google News Initiative.
